Evolution Martial Arts - Melbourne

 

The Head Instructor of Evolution Martial Arts Melbourne is Luke Byrne. Sensei Luke started karate in 1991 and was awarded his 4th dan in 2007. He is the holder of a number of national and international titles, including the 2007 WKC South East Asian Kata and Kumite title, the 2008 SA JKA international Kata and team Kumite title and the SKC national Kumite titles in 2004, 2006 and 2007. He has represented Australia for the JKA and SKC on 8 occasions.

Club Information

The style of karate we practice is known as Shotokan.

It is the method originally pioneered by the Okinawan Master Gichin Funakoshi and further developed in Japan by Master Masatoshi Nakayama.

Training is held at one of our 4 dojos in Roxburgh Park, Nanwading, Bayswater South and Hawthorne.
