Jeffsan Karate - Sydney

The Head Instructor of the dojo is Jeff Krug. Sensei Jeff commenced his Karate career with the Japan Karate Association (JKA) under Sensei Stan Schmidt in 1978 and was awarded his 6th Dan in August 2006. Jeff was awarded South African national colours in 1994 to represent South Africa at the world JKA championships in Philadelphia. He was also a member of the JKA Executive for South Africa. Sensei Jeff has been involved with Maccabi throughout his karate career, representing South Africa in 1993 and 1997 at the Maccabi games and as coach of the Australian Senior team in 2005.
Club Information
The style of karate we practice is known as Shotokan.
It is the method originally pioneered by the Okinawan Master Gichin Funakoshi and further developed in Japan by Master Masatoshi Nakayama.
Location
Training is held at our dojo in Vaucluse. Training times are as follows:
- Mondays and Thursdays (Juniors) 6.45 to 7.30pm
- Mondays and Thursdays (Seniors) 7.30 to 9.00pm
- Wednesday (Kindies 4-7 years) 4.00 to 6.00pm
There is additional training for higher grades on Saturday mornings from 7.00 to 9.00am.
Our classes are suitable for all ages and levels of expertise that are conducted in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere.
